Prepare for Success
Successful Application
To be considered for employment, the following job application materials must be completed and submitted:
- Employment Application
- Cover Letter
- Resume
- Three (3) personal letters of references
- Any other supportive documents (proof of degree, transcripts, etc.)
Incomplete packets or application packets submitted after the closing date for the job opening will not be accepted.
Unless the department or enterprise you are applying to states otherwise, please submit all documents to the Lac Courte Oreilles Human Resource Department.
Successful Interview
Do Your Homework
Research the organization and study the job description. What is the organization’s mission, vision and history? If you are chosen for the position, what are the most important duties you will perform?
Be Prepared
Bring copies of your resume, pen and paper, and any necessary portfolio items with you.
Make A Good Impression
Take pride in your appearance by dressing professionally. Arrive at least 10 minutes early, be friendly, and make eye contact with those you meet. Project confidence but not arrogance.
Ask Questions
Bring a list of questions you have about the job description or the organization with you. During the interview, write down any questions that come to mind and ask them at an appropriate time. Don’t talk over your interviewer.
Be Honest
Answer questions truthfully, clearly and directly. Don’t beat around the bush, and if you don’t know the answer to a question, don’t try to make one up.
